Job summary

Mueller Water Products, Inc. is seeking a Material Specialist to support our busy manufacturing facility in Cleveland, TN. The role focuses on receiving, storing, and distributing parts, while maintaining accurate inventory and safe work practices.

You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, perform cycle counts, and coordinate with production to keep materials flowing. Strong safety record and 2+ years shipping experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years of shipping experience in a manufacturing/warehouse setting.
• Forklift experience; able to operate standup and sit-down forklifts.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Familiarity with inventory and scales.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Receives and unloads freight manually or with equipment.
• Checks identification, reports shortages or damage, moves, stores, and arranges.
• Inventory transfer using standardized procedures.
• Maintain inventory records, ship confirmations, and related data.
• Operate a power lift truck, pallet jack, and related devices.
• Perform cycle counts and other related duties.
• Follow oral and written instructions and work orders.
