Job summary

Comfort Systems USA Southwest is seeking an Inventory/Material Lead to provide day-to-day support for shop and field by using new and surplus materials efficiently. You will manage material overages, generate requisitions, and handle gas cylinders with safety as a priority.

The role requires solid organizational skills, customer service orientation, and the ability to work with a diverse team. Occasional travel and strict adherence to safety programs are expected as part of daily

Qualifications

2 years fabrication/construction/material handling experience preferred.
Basic proficiency in Word and Excel is a plus.
Ability to read and interpret documents and forms.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Manage material overage spreadsheets and keep information current.
Generate material requisitions and submit to purchasing.
Handle gas cylinders at shop location, including dispensing and return.
Complete forklift inspections and dispense items to fabricators and field personnel.
Understand requisition/PO processes to function independently.
Maintain yard and backstock organization and cleanliness.
Support Safety Director and ensure compliance with safety programs.
Stage materials for fabrication and occasionally travel as needed.
