Job summary

Crane Aerospace & Electronics, Inc. in Lynnwood, WA is seeking a Material Handler I to support production by maintaining accurate inventory and moving materials between receiving, production, and shipping areas.

You will read and interpret work orders to determine material needs, stock materials into storerooms, and issue items to production cells while ensuring timely packing and shipping per contract requirements. Export compliance and teamwork are essential.

• Proven ability to maintain accurate inventory
• Experience moving materials between receiving, production, and shipping
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and material needs
• Experience packing and shipping per contract requirements
• Knowledge of cycle counting and variance escalation
• Awareness of export compliance rules
• Ability to assist teammates to complete daily tasks

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory by following established work instructions and processes.
• Move materials to and from receiving, production areas and shipping by hand, using sorting bins and carts, or other equipment.
• Unpack, receive, and stock materials into storeroom location(s).
• Read work orders to determine material and equipment needs for production cell work.
• Issue critical materials to production cells.
• Complete the cycle count process for Value Stream; Escalate variances in counts, as needed.
• Respond to unplanned issues with internal customers in a timely manner.
• Pack and ship materials in accordance with contract requirements.
• Aid and/or Backfill coworkers, as needed to complete daily tasks.
• Ensure compliance with export compliance rules.
