Job summary

Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking an Inventory Material Control Support Specialist – Level 1 to join our team in Dulles, VA. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.

This role will receive, store, and issue equipment, verify stock against invoices, and generate stock use reports. The candidate should have a High School diploma and 0–1 years in inventory, and be prepared for 1st shift with no starting clearance.

• 0–1 years of experience in inventory, storeroom, warehouse, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and issue equipment, materials, and supplies in a central warehouse.
• Examine stock for conformance to specifications and invoices; fill orders; prepare stock use reports.
• Determine storage methods considering temperature, humidity, weight, and space constraints.
• Prioritize and multitask daily workload.
• Work in a team environment or independently; lift 30 lbs.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook).
• Requisition stock to fill orders and maintain inventory accuracy.

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking an Inventory Material Control Support Specialist – Level 1 to join our team in Dulles, VA. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.

This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

In This Job, You Will

• Perform a combination of manual and clerical duties to receive, store, and issue equipment, materials, and supplies in a central warehouse.
• Examine stock to verify conformance to specifications and invoices; stores articles according to identifying factors; fills orders or issues supplies from stock; requisitions stock to fill incoming orders; and prepares stock use reports.
• Determine methods or places for storage considering guidelines for temperature, humidity, weight or height limits, turnover, floor loading capacity, and required space. Exclude shipping and/or receiving clerks.
• Pay attention to detail, have the ability to trouble shoot as needed,
• Work in a team environment or independently, lift 30 lbs.,
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook)
• The ability to prioritize and multitask daily workload.

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 0 years additional education and/or related experience.
• No clearance required to start
• 0-1 years of experience in inventory, storeroom, warehouse, or other related fields.
• Must be available to work standard 1st shift hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Deltek Costpoint experience
• Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook) experience.
• Compiles records concerned with quantity, cost, and type of material received, in stock, or issued. Requisitions needed supplies; verifies material received to determine irregularities in order; inspects articles and rejects defective ones. Prepares inventory records and reports and investigates discrepancies in stock counts.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US. Government DoD security clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $36,500.00 - $60,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
