Job summary

Olgoonik Corporation is seeking an Inventory Manager to oversee Government-owned mission stock, conducting DSS inventories and resolving discrepancies. The role involves directing a team of inventory technicians and specialists and ensuring compliance with contract terms and internal controls.

Candidates should have at least three years of experience with WMS or similar systems, strong leadership abilities, and the capacity to manage data, audits, and inventory control in a fast-paced warehouse

Qualifications

• Three (3) years’ minimum experience in inventory using WMS or equivalent automated Warehouse Management System (WMS) within the past five (5) years.
• Experience with DSS and other Government-Furnished Data Systems.
• Must demonstrate a good attitude and ability to lead a team in a warehouse setting.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring the inventory integrity of the Government-owned mission stock meets the acceptable performance levels outlined in the contract.
• Plans the use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials based on workload projections on a weekly or monthly bases.
• Establishes deadlines, priorities, and work sequences in agreement with general work schedules, methods, and policies established by the Site Manager and/or Alternate Site Manager.
• Redirects workers and resources to accomplish unanticipated work and to accommodate daily workload fluctuations.
• Conducts planning of current and future work schedules.
• Provides workload data, estimates, information on staffing needs.

Overview

The Inventory Manager oversees the inventory operations of Government-owned mission stock. Directs employees engaged in conducting DSS inventories, researching inventory discrepancies and documenting gains and losses through causative research, performing denial research, item data maintenance and location surveys. Inventory Manager is responsible for records and maintains control of all inventory items purchased and produces.

Primary Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring the inventory integrity of the Government-owned mission stock meets the acceptable performance levels outlined in the contract.


• Plans the use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials based on workload projections on a weekly or monthly bases.


• Establishes deadlines, priorities, and work sequences in agreement with general work schedules, methods, and policies established by the Site Manager and/or Alternate Site Manager.

• Recommends the scheduling of project work.


• Ensures work is done properly and efficiently in agreement with the terms and condition of the contract.


• Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures.


• Responsible for data and inventory control.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• The Inventory Manager manages a team of Inventory Technicians and Specialists.


• Ensures area of responsibility is operating in agreement with all referenced DLA Distribution SOPs, addendums, FRAGOS, and Process Manuals as required for day to day operational processing and preparation for any audit event.


• Responsible for compliance with the Audit Assertion Program reporting and documentation requirements, Assertion Memo IAW CDRL, to include monthly assertion reporting that assigned areas of responsibility are ready for audit and or corrective action plans are documented and being corrected if an assertion cannot be made.


• Responsible for the Audit Assertion Program functional areas of COSIS and Physical Inventory

Education And/or Experience

• GED or equivalent, college degree a plus.


• Three (3) years’ minimum experience in inventory using WMS or equivalent automated Warehouse Management System (WMS) within the past five (5) years.

• Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under a minimum of supervision.

• Experience with DSS and other Government-Furnished Data Systems.

• Ability to use and instruct others in the use of DSS and other Government-Furnished Data Systems to perform the requirements in the PWS.


• Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively and lead a team under a minimum of supervision from Program Manager.


• Must be able to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast-paced environment, and have a strong attention for detail and the ability to lead others to do so.


• Knowledge and ability to teach and lead safety procedures.

Security Clearance

Position requires U.S. Citizenship, a United States Government background check and may require a U.S. Government SECRET Clearance.

If SECRET Clearance Level Is Required, Candidate Must Also

• Must have a current United States Government SECRET level security clearance or be able to successfully obtain the required clearance.


• Must be a U.S. Citizen.


• Must also be able to maintain a US Government SECRET clearance.
