Job summary

Kinney Drugs seeks an Inventory and Logistics Coordinator for the Kinney Homecare division. You will coordinate ordering, receiving, storing, and inventory across all locations, while training staff and ensuring Medicare/Medicaid documentation. Extensive travel is required.

You will drive purchasing efficiency, maintain stock accuracy, and collaborate with vendors to reduce COGS and optimize just‑in‑time inventory across multiple sites.

Qualifications

  • Minimum: High School Diploma or GED
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field
  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience dealing with insurance verification and federal/state regulations
  • Special Conditions of Employment: Drug test
  • Initial and continuous exclusion and sanction/disciplinary monitoring
  • Any and all additional eligibility requirements based on the specific position

Overview

Scope of Responsibilities: Serves as a resource for store managers, personnel, and administration in all things related to inventory and employee training. Manage inventory throughout all locations within Kinney Homecare division.

Job Summary: Coordinates activities for workers concerned with ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts, in stockroom and/or warehouse for all locations.

Travel: Extensive travel required

Responsibilities

Job Duties:

  • Develop and collaborate on a plan to integrate supply chain from Kinney Homecare into infrastructure already in place at KPH Healthcare Services to provide more timely delivery while driving down operational expenses.
  • Streamline purchasing to ensure the best price and discounts on quantities and drop ship costs.
  • Maintain accuracy of stock to the highest levels within Brightree.
  • Track serialized and non-serialized items to ensure proper depreciation and maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure all items have the correct HCPCS codes and documentation to ensure smooth Medicare/Medicaid audits.
  • Oversee the receiving of new shipments and staging of equipment.
  • Build a process by which monthly cycle counts are performed and reported properly. Further providing reports and evaluation on ‘dead stock’, high-turnover items, and inventory valuation upon request.
  • Develops a system to evaluate vendor quotations that utilizes appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery, and service.
  • Works directly with vendor partners to become resident expert on goods purchased, while building strong relationships with said vendor to achieve a goal of driving down COGS.
  • Purchases goods and supplies based upon CAGR.
  • Maintain stocking levels to fit the needs of each facility, balancing churn and allowable spacing.
  • Work to maintain ‘Just-in-time’ inventory for high churn disposables.
  • Oversee storage, labeling, and handling oxygen in all forms. Providing tracking to ensure traceability in the event of a recall. Track expiration dates of cylinder tests and coordinate with vendors for requalification accordingly.
  • Submit invoices to be processed in a timely manner.
  • Prepares requisitions, orders, or other documents for purchasing or requisitioning new or additional stock items.
  • Responsible for ensuring all appropriate personnel receive necessary education and training relevant to Company purchasing systems and procedures.
  • Educate all branches on the receiving in process (includes process and procedures in a manual for continuity)
  • Educate all branches on the process of adding inventory into RCM system so billing may happen in a timely manner. Providing accessible support.
  • Reviews inventory records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to determine adequacy of stock levels.
  • Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.
  • Oversee and manage inventory in closet locations. Building out a program, working with operations and billing, to reconcile “in’s and out’s” to the closet locations.
  • Compiles stock control records and information such as consumption rate, characteristics of items in storage, and current market conditions, to determine stock supply and need for replenishment.
  • Assist service technicians and drivers with warranty replacement and returns.
  • Assist service technicians on broken equipment.
  • Work with Human Resources to develop a procedure for tracking competency assessments annually and at new hires.
  • Educate the CSRs on troubleshooting a concentrator and the steps to follow. (Includes procedures in a manual for continuity)
  • Responsible for educating and training in preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Perform All duties as assigned

The final offer will be determined after careful consideration of multiple factors such as relevant skills, years of experience and education.
