Job summary

Rajant Corporation, based in Morehead, KY, is seeking an hands-on Inventory Manager to oversee inventory control, material flow, and warehouse accuracy at our Morehead facility. This on-site role supports production continuity, ERP/MRP data integrity, and inventory optimization.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in inventory control, materials management, warehouse operations, manufacturing, or supply chain.
  • Hands-on inventory management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of cycle counting, physical inventory, reconciliations, material traceability, and inventory controls.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP or inventory management systems; strong Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Working knowledge of receiving, stocking, production material movement, work orders, and finished goods processes.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, components, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
  • Lead cycle counts and physical inventories; investigate and resolve discrepancies and inventory adjustments.
  • Maintain material identification, traceability, location control, and organized storage practices.
  • Monitor inventory levels, shortages, excess/obsolete material, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support inventory valuation, reconciliations, year-end inventory, and audit requirements with Finance.
  • Develop and maintain inventory procedures that strengthen accuracy and internal controls.
  • Coordinate receiving, stocking, staging, kitting, issuing, transfers, returns, and finished-goods movement to support production schedules.
  • Partner with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Planning, Engineering, Quality, and Finance to resolve material issues.
  • Maintain accurate ERP/MRP inventory transactions, item locations, material status, and supporting records.
  • Identify shortages and inventory constraints; communicate replenishment needs and support safety-stock and reorder-point decisions.
  • Analyze inventory trends, turns, usage, and discrepancies to improve material availability and reduce carrying costs.
  • Maintain a safe, efficient, and well-organized inventory/warehouse environment and support continuous process improvements.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Rajant is seeking a hands-on Inventory Manager to oversee inventory control, material flow, and warehouse accuracy at our Morehead, KY facility. This role ensures materials are received, stored, tracked, issued, and reconciled accurately while supporting production continuity, ERP/MRP data integrity, and inventory optimization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inventory Control & Accuracy
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, components, work-in-process, and finished goods.
  • Lead cycle counts and physical inventories; investigate and resolve discrepancies and inventory adjustments.
  • Maintain material identification, traceability, location control, and organized storage practices.
  • Monitor inventory levels, shortages, excess/obsolete material, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  • Support inventory valuation, reconciliations, year-end inventory, and audit requirements with Finance.
