Job summary

PTSolutions is seeking an Inventory Manager to join our Grand Rapids team. The role focuses on stocking tool and MRO vending machines, monitoring orders, and maintaining inventory accuracy at customer sites.

As an entry-level opportunity, you will learn the tool and MRO business, support sales accounts, and grow with the company through internal promotion opportunities. A valid driver’s license and a willingness to drive locally are required.

Qualifications

• Some college coursework completed; training from a trade school.
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, receive, and stock our customers' products in our tool & MRO industrial vending machines
• Proactively monitor customers' open orders to ensure prompt delivery and customer satisfaction
• Monitor utilization data to establish order plans that are aligned with department goals and ensure adequate stock levels of consignment and non-consignment inventory
• Effectively coordinate with Area Sales Manager regarding customer accounts, issues, and feedback on operation status.
• Prepare, complete, and distribute system generated reports as required
• Perform cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy for each machine at each customer
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Assist with other projects & duties when the business needs require

We're looking for an Inventory Manager to join our growing team. Our Inventory Managers work primarily out of our branch office but visit our customers' manufacturing facilities as well. In this role, you willensure that our tool & MRO industrial vending machines are always stocked with the products our customers need. Our branch office and customer locations are both located in the Grand Rapids area. This is an entry level role, so this is a great opportunity to learn the tool & MRO business and establish relationships with your assigned customers. Top performers in this role will also be eligible for promotion to other positions on this team, on the Sales team, etc.

Experience and Skills

THE MOST QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:

• Some college coursework completed; training from a trade school
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be age 21+ in order to drive a company vehicle
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Proficient use of a Windows computer and Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Teams
• Self-directed and possesses a high level of productivity, personal organization, and attention to detail
• Customer-centric attitude and a desire to grow with & contribute to customer-focused company
• Strong communication skills including verbal and interpersonal are required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, occasionally up to 70 lbs
• Must be able to frequently stand, twist, bend, and lift
