Job summary

MSM (Northern Safety) is seeking an on-site inventory attendant to scan and stock customer sites, maintain inventory levels, and process replenishment orders. You will build strong customer relations, transport products, and ensure accurate deliveries per client requirements.

Responsibilities include addressing on-site concerns, identifying improvement opportunities, and adhering to safety and fleet policies. A forklift-certified, reliable team player is preferred for this role.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED, and/or equivalent experience is required.
  • Experience with VMI programs, Customer Service, Driving, or experience in a similar position is a plus.
  • Ability to establish, build and maintain positive relationships with customers, respond promptly to customer needs, solicit customer feedback, and manage difficult customer situations.
  • Must have the inherent ability to be a team player who readily adapts to change.
  • Needs to be a highly functional self-starter; able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to read, interpret and comprehend documents such as training instructions, shipping tickets, procedure manuals, etc. at a fast pace.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiple, and divide accurately and efficiently.
  • Must pass Forklift training and maintain Forklift certification.
  • Requires lifting ability of up to 80 lbs., frequent lifting of 40-60 lbs. Requires walking and standing on a concrete surface 8 to 10 hours a day.
  • Work is performed in customer facilities and will have a wide range of work conditions, including summer and winter driving conditions.
  • Ability to understand and apply instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
  • Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Investigates and resolves customer problems regarding CPS business.
  • Builds and maintains professional and positive customer relationships.
  • Transports products to customers.
  • Places orders to replenish customers’ inventory.
  • Delivers product accurately and completely to bins and puts inventory away per customer’s and Company’s requirements.
  • Addresses issues or concerns brought up by customers on site as well as communicates issues and concerns to appropriate internal departments.
  • Looks for additional product Würth can supply, and forwards leads to appropriate departments.
  • Maintains general housekeeping of onsite work area and keeps CPS racks and bins organized and clean.
  • Identifies and communicates opportunities for improvement such as bin quantities, new parts, inventory turns, etc.
  • Follows all Company Fleet Policies and Procedures.
  • Continuously improves productivity and efficiency of processes throughout the operational organization.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to safety by performing responsibilities in a safe and secure manner and follows all safety procedures. Reports unsafe acts, hazards, and maintains a clean/orderly department.
