Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Data Center Technician to support on-site datacenter infrastructure in Boydton, VA. The role targets individuals with logistics/warehousing and IT support experience, and a team-first mindset.

Ideal candidates have 0–6 months in related roles, basic MS Office skills, and a High School Diploma or GED. The shift runs Thursday–Saturday and every other Wednesday, 6am–6pm, offering hands-on IT operations exposure and growth.

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience or an internship in inventory management, retail, warehouse management, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Basic understanding of IT concepts.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Supporting deployment of on-site datacenter physical infrastructure
• Installing, replacing and troubleshooting cables and hardware
• Working within a ticket-based environment
• Performs assigned Logistics/Warehouse Support tasks and escalates issues during high-volume work activity or escalation-based situations
• Performs data entry to document inbound and outbound packages
• Ensures accurate documentation of incoming and outgoing deliveries as well as records
• Performs cycle audits and data corrections to ensure all inventory controls are met
