Job summary

A staffing agency is looking to hire Data Center Logistics Technicians for a major client in Des Moines, Iowa. In this role, you will manage inventory tracking, coordinate deliveries, and ensure compliance with data center regulations. Successful candidates will have experience in warehouse environments and possess strong communication and problem-solving skills.   • Perform material movement and manage inventory per standard process.
  • Destroy data-bearing devices following documented procedures.

Job description

Insight Global is looking to hire Data Center Logistics Technicians for a Fortune500 client. In this role you will be responsible for performing assigned tasks and escalates issues during high-volume work activity or escalation-based situations. Leverages process knowledge and best judgment to complete next task without direct supervision. Coordinating, preparing, and executing incoming/outgoing deliveries (e.g. purchase order [PO] receiving, Rack Movement Supervisor [RMS] activities). Ensuring complete and detailed physical inventory tracking and staging. Performing inventory cycle audits, data corrections, and various Data Center regulatory compliance or certification control audit activity. Performing material movement, including shipping/receiving and inventory management per standard process. Ensuring detailed physical inventory tracking and staging. Performing destruction of data bearing devices (DBD) following all documented procedures and runbooks

Required Skills & Experience

Experience in a warehouse/labor environment.

Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.

Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time
