Ilmor is seeking an Inventory & Logistics Associate in Plymouth, MI to manage the life cycle of parts from receipt to final destination, blending ERP-driven transactions in Epicor with hands-on warehouse operations, forklift tasks, and regional freight movements.

The role requires 2+ years in warehouse/logistics, valid driver's license, and forklift certification, with direct-hire employment and day shifts. Safety, accuracy, and teamwork are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Experience: 2+ years of Warehouse/Logistics, Shipping and Receiving, and Inventory Control.
• Driving credentials: Valid driver's license with an unblemished record; Chauffeur's License and DOT physical required (or within 30 days of hire).
• Forklift Certification: Valid industrial forklift operator license or recertification upon hire.

Responsabilités

• Execute and monitor real-time inventory transactions (shipping, receiving, parts movements) in Epicor to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Conduct daily inventory cycle counts, evaluate on-hand balances, and investigate variances.
• Maintain stock for production consumables to prevent shortages.
• Complete parts-picking ordered by the Build Shop and confirm transactions in Epicor.
• Load, transport, and deliver essential cargo, engines, parts, and materials to customers/vendors within a 300-mile radius.
• Safely operate delivery assets and heavy machinery per OSHA/DOT safety regulations.
• Enforce 5S and general safety in Stock Room, Truck Bay, and Loading Dock.
• Inspect, cross-reference, log, and sort incoming parts and raw materials against supplier manifests/POs.
• Pack and document outbound shipments for small parcel and LTL.

Summary:

The Inventory & Logistics Associateplays a critical, high-impact role in our supply chain, managing the life cycle of parts from receipt to final destination. This unique position balances specialized desktop inventory transactions using Epicor ERP with hands-on physical warehouse operations, forklift material handling, and regional logistics driving. The ideal candidate switches seamlessly between managing internal parts movement/ inventory transactions and executing physical freight movements.

• Inventory Integrity: Execute and monitor real-time inventory transactions (shipping, receiving, parts movements) within Epicor ERP to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Cycle Counting & Auditing: Conduct daily inventory cycle counts, evaluate on-hand balances, and proactively investigate any variances thoroughly.
• Discrepancy Investigation: Apply root-cause analysis to investigate and reconcile inventory variances, implementing preventive logic to resolve errors.
• Consumables Management: Maintain stock for production consumables (gloves, lubricants, zip ties, etc.) to eliminate shop shortages.
• Parts Picking: Complete parts-picking ordered by the Build Shop, confirming proper transaction in the system (Epicor).
• Extended Logistics Driving: Securely load, transport, and deliver essential cargo, engines, parts, and materials to and from customers and vendors/suppliers within a regional 300-mile radius.
• Safety Operations: Safely operate, inspect, prep, and maintain company delivery/movement assets (cargo vans, box truck, forklifts) in strict compliance with OSHA/DOT safety regulations.
• Industrial Material Handling: Safely operate heavy machinery (forklifts, order pickers, and pallet jacks) to move, stack, retrieve, and high-rack heavy parts.
• Freight Movement: Safely and efficiently load and unload incoming and outgoing freight carriers, commercial flatbeds, and internal delivery vehicles.
• Organization: Enforce meticulous organization, 5S standards, and general safety protocols inside the Stock Room, Truck Bay, Truck Pad, and Loading Dock environments.
• Inbound Receiving Duties: Inspect, cross-reference, log, and sort incoming parts and raw materials against supplier manifests/packing slips and purchase orders.
• Outbound Shipping Preparation: Pack, safely secure, crate, label, and create proper documentation for outbound small parcel and LTL shipments.

Education and Experience:

• Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Experience: 2+ years of Warehouse/Logistics, Shipping and Receiving, and Inventory Control experience
• Driving Credentials: Valid driver's license with an unblemished record. Chauffeur's License and DOT physical required (or mandatory completion within 30 days of hire).
• Forklift Certification: Valid industrial forklift operator license or verified historical certification. Will need to re-certify upon hire.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

• Physical Output: Ability to repeatedly lift, maneuver, and shift packages scaling up to 50 pounds.
• Visual Capacity: Intact peripheral vision, depth perception, close-range focus, and distance sight necessary for precision vehicle and forklift handling.
• Dynamic Surroundings: Occasional exposure to mechanical parts, industrial cranes, standard factory lubricants, and changing weather conditions while loading outdoors
