Job summary

NRI Distribution is seeking an Inventory Lead to head the inventory team and ensure accurate handling and processing of products for clients and customers. The role emphasizes training, leadership, and collaboration with the Inventory Supervisor to meet audits and SLA requirements.

The position requires strong communication, the ability to multitask, and the capability to lift up to 50 lbs. A forklift certification is a plus, with on-site hours Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm.

Qualifications

• Willingness to gain forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the training and cross-training of inventory employees.
• Lead and delegate inventory tasks within SLA.
• Collaborate with Inventory Supervisor to plan labor and audits.
• Delegate cycle counts, lead audits, and complete inventory reports.
• Support strategies to optimize warehouse space utilization.
• Adhere to safety rules and SOPs; maintain clean work areas.
• Assist with staff programs and internal opportunities.

Job description

As an Inventory Lead, you will play an important part in leading the inventory team by ensuring all inventory is handled and processed according to client and customer needs. You’ll be working with products from awesome clients that are heavily involved in the active lifestyle.

What does success look like in this role?

The ideal candidate has effective communication and interaction across all levels of the facility including clients to ensure inventory issues and tasks are being handled in a timely and appropriate manner . This person must have the ability to support the training and development of a team with an analytical and tactical approach.

The following schedule is available for this role: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

Starting Pay: $23/hr

What You’ll Bring to the Role:

• Experience with a warehouse management system (WMS)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize duties, follow through assignments with a minimum of direction, and be extremely detail oriented
• Experience in leading inventory personnel to ensure all assigned activities are performed effectively and efficiently
• Has the ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities
• Trustworthy and moral character (we use pre-employment background & drug tests)

The Must Haves:

• Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook and Excel
• Must have physical ability to carry out essential job functions, including but not limited to, the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., walking and standing for extended periods, climbing ladders/stairs, ok with heights in elevated areas and tolerating conditions such as dust, dirt, noise, odors, heat, cold, etc.
• Ability to gain narrow aisle forklift certification.

• Support Inventory Planner implementing strategies to optimize warehouse space utilization
• FollowingNRI safety rules, safety procedures, security protocol and standard operating procedures (SOP)
• Keeps work and storage areas in a safe, clean, and tidy condition at all times
• Performs other duties as requested
