Job summary

FDH Aero in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an Inventory Lead to oversee inventory control, maintain optimal stock levels, and coordinate with internal teams and suppliers to meet operational and customer requirements.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and inventory systems.
  • Strong leadership abilities and proactive process improvement.
  • Detail-oriented with focus on accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop inventory planning strategies to optimize stock levels.
  • Monitor inventory performance metrics and adjust forecasting models.
  • Collaborate with procurement, operations, and sales teams to ensure alignment of inventory levels with business needs.
  • Analyze usage trends and lead-time data to improve accuracy.
  • Communicate with suppliers to address discrepancies and expedite materials.
  • Oversee disposition and control of non-conforming inventory.
  • Maintain documentation of inventory transactions and traceability.
  • Lead cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste.
  • Support audits related to inventory accuracy and compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

We Are Looking For

The Inventory Lead is responsible for overseeing inventory control processes, ensuring optimal stock levels, and coordinating with internal teams and suppliers to maintain efficient supply chain operations. This role requires a strong understanding of inventory management, demand planning, and supplier coordination to meet operational and customer requirements effectively.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
  • Develop and implement inventory planning strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce excess or obsolete inventory
  • Monitor inventory performance metrics and adjust forecasting models to align with demand fluctuations
  • Collaborate with procurement, operations, and sales teams to ensure alignment of inventory levels with business needs
  • Analyze usage trends and lead‑time data to improve inventory accuracy and replenishment processes
  • Communicate with suppliers to address inventory discrepancies, expedite critical materials, and resolve supply chain issues
  • Oversee the disposition and control of non‑conforming inventory to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Maintain accurate documentation of inventory transactions, including certification reviews and traceability per company and regulatory requirements
  • Lead cycle count programs and physical inventory audits to ensure data integrity and compliance
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste within inventory operations
  • Support internal, customer, and third‑party audits related to inventory accuracy and compliance
  • Other duties as assigned
What You Bring (Qualifications & Skills)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3-5 years of experience in inventory planning, supply chain, or materials management, preferably in aerospace or manufacturing
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and inventory management software
  • Knowledge of AS9120 and quality assurance processes preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a data‑driven approach to inventory optimization
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross‑functional teams and suppliers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and experience with inventory management systems
  • Strong leadership abilities with a proactive approach to process improvement
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and compliance
Special Requirements
  • U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.
  • ITAR requirement
