Job summary

Manpower, Inc. in Watertown, NY is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to join our operations team. You will support inventory accuracy and material availability by performing daily cycle counts, verifying locations, and investigating discrepancies.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience in inventory or distribution, can operate forklift and pallet jacks, and is comfortable working from 7:30am to 4:00pm in 1st shift. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of work experience in inventory, distribution, and operational procedures.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as cherry picker, forklift, and pallet jack; must be able to acquire forklift license in a timely manner.
• Strong math skills and attention to detail, with the ability to effectively multi-task assignments.
• Attendance on the job is essential; must be able to work in a team-oriented environment and read/follow written and verbal directions.

Responsibilities

• Follow written and/or verbal instructions from supervisors to complete daily inventory tasks accurately.
• Perform daily cycle counts and conduct follow-up inventory counts and location verifications on discrepancies.
• Assist in cycle count analysis, recounts, and inventory problem solving to support accurate stock records.
• Perform physical product movement, stock rotations, and aisle location audits to keep inventory organized and traceable.
• Safely operate required stockroom equipment (forklift, hand truck, scale, scanner, and computer) while completing record-keeping duties and special inventory projects as needed.
