Protect inventory integrity across the warehouse while serving as a flexible, hands-on operational resource. This role ensures physical inventory is accurate, serialized devices match system records, discrepancies are investigated, and warehouse teams receive hands-on support in core operational functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Own overall warehouse inventory accuracy across SKU, serial number, location, and status.
- Establish and execute daily cycle count schedules and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate shortages, overages, mispicks, receiving/shipping errors, and location discrepancies.
- Document root causes for recurring issues and implement corrective action plans.
- Maintain strict controls for damaged, quarantined, held, or customer-specific stock.
- Assist with internal, financial, and customer inventory audits.
- Serve as a hands-on floater to support Receiving, Putaway, Picking, Packing, Shipping, and Returns during volume spikes.
- Conduct regular floor walks to spot misplaced items, labeling issues, or unprocessed inventory.
- Enforce proper scanning, system transactions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Guide team members on inventory best practices and process execution.
- Maintain a clean, organized, 5S-compliant, and safe floor environment.
- Track inventory KPIs including cycle count accuracy, location accuracy, and open investigations.
- Analyze recurring defects and present actionable recommendations to Operations Leadership.
- Partner with Customer Service, Finance, and IT to resolve cross-departmental inventory handoffs.
Qualifications
- 4+ years in inventory control, warehouse operations, distribution, or fulfillment.
- Proficiency with WMS/ERP systems and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Proven experience with cycle counts, physical inventory, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis.
- Comfort working actively on the warehouse floor and shifting priorities quickly based on daily operational demand.
- Background handling serialized electronics, mobile devices, or high-mix technology products.
- Experience with 5S, Lean, or Six Sigma continuous improvement methodologies.
- Prior involvement in WMS implementations or system scanning enhancements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or related field.
