Job summary

Publix Super Markets is seeking a subject matter expert on warehouse inventory to support the Dallas WMS and Publix distribution network. You will participate on the operations floor, review cycle counts, troubleshoot discrepancies, and verify balances against perpetual records.

This role emphasizes internal controls, SOX compliance, and proper separation of duties in counting, adjusting, and recording inventory, with a focus on continuous accuracy across multiple facilities.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• One year of experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) or equivalent.
• Must be able to obtain pallet truck and forklift certification before start date.
• Be able to work nights.
• Be able to work weekends, holidays, and late nights, as needed.
• Have willingness to stay until the job is complete (i.e., emergency support).
• Have willingness to accept change, as well as be a positive change agent.
• Be able to lift a minimum of 67 pounds (85 pounds in Boxed/Meat Dairy Warehouse).
• Have strong interpersonal skills
• Have ability to adapt to changing work loads.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME on warehouse inventory activity and cycle counts.
• Review cycle counts and troubleshoot inventory issues.
• Manage product recalls and verify physical balances against WMS records.
• Ensure proper segregation of duties in counting, adjusting, and recording inventory.
• Support SOX compliance and internal control processes.
