Job summary

CarMax is hiring a Reconditioning Associate I - Satellite in Tennessee to ensure vehicles meet quality and cleanliness standards before delivery. You will perform interior and exterior cleaning, paint touch-ups, wet sanding, buffing, and final inspections, supporting inventory flow in a fast-paced environment.

Under supervision, you’ll assist with zone maintenance, vehicle receiving, and daily record updates, while delivering outstanding service to internal and external customers and following

Qualifications

• Complete New Associate Orientation Training - Operations.
• Ability to read, interpret, and transcribe data accurately.
• Skilled at performing multiple tasks in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods in a mixed office/outdoor setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and secure display areas and work-in-progress zones to ensure merchandising excellence.
• Prepare vehicles for customer delivery and inter-store transfers.
• Receive and secure vehicles shipped to CarMax and perform daily inventory and accurate record updates.
• Complete final quality inspections to uphold CarMax standards.
• Execute paint touch-ups, wet sanding, and buffing to meet CarMax quality standards.
• Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.
• Follow CarMax Environmental, Health and Safety requirements and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
