Job summary

CarMax Savannah is seeking a Reconditioning Associate I – Satellite to ensure every vehicle meets CarMax’s quality standards for interior and exterior cleaning, paint touch-ups, wet sanding, buffing, and final inspections. Under supervision, you will support inventory flow, assist with zone maintenance and delivery prep, and provide great customer service to both internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, interpret, and transcribe data accurately.
• Skilled at performing multiple tasks in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills to speak and listen effectively with customers and associates.
• Physical capability to perform work, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing or walking for extended periods.
• Completion of CarMax-provided training in inventory and detailing processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and secure display areas and work-in-progress zones to ensure merchandising excellence.
• Prepare vehicles for customer delivery and inter-store transfers.
• Receive and secure vehicles shipped to CarMax and perform daily inventory and accurate record updates.
• Complete final quality inspections to uphold CarMax standards.
• Execute paint touch-ups, wet sanding, and buffing to meet CarMax quality standards.
• Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.
• Follow CarMax EH&S requirements and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
