The Cycle Counter is responsible for performing cycle counting duties to ensure that all materials are properly verified to be reflective of reported inventory. Supports the organization in maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintains a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies in the workplace. Advocates for and promotes a safe work environment by reporting Near Misses and/or other safety and environmental hazards, wearing all required PPE and encouraging others to do the same.
  • Performs inventory cycle counts on raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and non-conforming materials on a daily basis.
  • Counts and reconciles randomly chosen part numbers and/or locations on a daily basis.
  • Operates forklift to obtain materials located out of arm reach.
  • Identifies any non-conforming parts and moves them to quality.
  • Assists in developing solutions to shortages, overages, and inventory discrepancies.
  • Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Your profile

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Possesses a stable work history and a strong personal desire to work safely and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Experience working in a warehouse environment safely operating facility material handling equipment (e.g. forklift, pallet jacks, automated storage & retrieval systems, carousel) and picking and packing equipment (e.g. scanner, scale, tape machine).
  • Experience operating various forklifts (order filler, stand-up reach, sit down electric, scissor lift).
  • Familiarity in working with large ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Ability to physically count articles or products on shelves, racks and pallets with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Possesses good hand-eye coordination and is able to perform detailed work with a strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Position is required to work efficiently in a fast pace, multi-tasking environment, while keeping correct data.
  • Position is required to be able to lift up to 40 pounds, perform repetitious duties and walk or stand for long periods of time on a daily basis.
  • Highly organized with ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Exhibits integrity through fair and ethical behaviors in all activities; maintains accountability for performance.
  • Strong attention to detail with well-developed organizational and communication skills.
  • Proven experience developing work processes to improve outcomes for the team/customers.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
