Job summary

US Farathane is seeking an experienced Inventory Cycle Counter in Auburn Hills, MI. The role supports inventory accuracy initiatives, conducts cycle counts, and investigates discrepancies to ensure reliable stock records.

The candidate will assist in labeling locations, coordinate with quality and manufacturing teams, and participate in periodic physical inventories while adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college; or 6 months to 1 year related experience.
• APICS CPIM certification preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents; able to write reports and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled cycle counts of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
• Track materials for engineering changes and balance outs to minimize obsolescence.
• Assist in labeling locations for raw materials, components, and packaging.
• Support plant activities to meet quality, productivity, and cost goals.
• Attend APQP and kick-off meetings for new jobs.
• EDI, email, or fax release orders to vendors.
• Support annual physical inventory activity and investigate negative inventories.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain housekeeping in respective areas.

Job description

US Farathane is seeking an experienced Inventory Cycle Counter.

Work Location: Auburn Hills, MI

US Farathane has been a leading source of plastics manufacturing, supplying the automotive industry for over 40 years. Through highly technical research and development, coupled with a diverse and knowledgeable Management Team and dedicated Associates, US Farathane has continued to grow each year. We provide customers with a wide range of full-service support from black-box design concepts to highly engineered composites, TPE’s and TPO’s as well as specialized extrusion and compression technologies.

Summary

The Cycle Counter is responsible for supporting inventory accuracy initiatives including cycle counting investigation root cause analysis and reconciliation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Track materials for engineering changes and balance outs to ensure minimal obsolescence
• Responsible for scheduled cycle counting of raw material, components, and finished goods
• Assist in plant organization to determine and label locations for raw material, components, and packaging.
• Assist as required in plant activities to achieve quality, productivity, and cost reduction goals.
• Attend APQP meeting and kick off meetings for new jobs.
• EDI, E-mail, or fax release orders to vendors.
• Supports plant annual physical inventory activity
• Investigate and adjust negative inventories daily
• Perform all duties as requested by the Materials Manager.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures (i.e., quality policy manual, associate handbook, Level II procedures, etc.)
• Comply with of all internal and OSHA required safety procedures.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping in respective areas.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (A.k) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• APICS Certification C.P.I.M preferred
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
