Job summary

DSV, a global transport and logistics leader, seeks a Customer Service Specialist, Inventory Planner in Hillsboro, Oregon to manage stocking levels and analyze consumption to generate purchase requisitions for operations support. You will partner with engineers, buyers, commodity managers, and warehouse staff to ensure on-hand, on-order, and in-transit materials meet customer needs while minimizing inventory investment.

Strong Excel and ERP skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field with 2 years of professional experience or equivalent mix of education and work experience.
• Three years of industry experience in a direct or cross-functional capacity.
• Knowledge of Purchasing, Inventory Control and Materials Management methods.

Responsibilities

• Generates reports in ERP system and exports to Excel; analyzes data and responds accordingly.
• Initiates and processes Purchase Demands/Requisitions to maintain stock.
• Manages inventory levels and planning (on-hand, on-order, in transit).
• Communicates with engineers, buyers, and suppliers to align demand and supply.
• Acts as primary contact for forecasts, Min/Max levels, and replenishment points.
• Coordinates cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy.
• Researches inventory discrepancies and reconciles them promptly.
