Job description

Position Summary:

We are currently looking for an Inventory Coordinator/Material Handler. This role includes selecting, counting, weighing, and delivering materials, as well as checking and recording parts.

Essential Duties:

  • Supervise the company's inventory control activities to ensure the efficient and economical utilization of facilities for storing and distributing raw materials, components, and finished products.
  • Ensure the receipt and storage of products, materials, equipment, parts, accessories, and supplies.
  • Monitor inspection of incoming items against orders for accuracy, completeness, and free of defects as determined by the quality department.
  • Arrange for the return and replacement of defective items.
  • Manage periodic and special inventories, account for inventory variances, and perform cycle counts in the stockroom, warehouse, and production area.
  • Assist with improvements in policies and procedures to promote efficiency, faster service, and lower costs.
  • Coordinate the transfer of products, materials, equipment, parts, accessories, and/or supplies between/among shipping, stockroom, and work centers.
  • Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required.
  • Aid lesser-experienced employees by communicating work priorities, providing assistance, and verifying the accuracy of work.
  • Support, communicate, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the company.

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of stockroom or inventory management experience.
  • Familiarity with the use of ERP systems in all inventory regards.
  • Regular use of MS Office applications and systems.

The pay for this position starts at a minimum of $17.05 per hour when the minimum job requirements are met and goes up based upon a candidate’s experience and qualifications in a similar role. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on company performance.

Physical Requirements:

Moderate Physical Demand: Continuously lifting or moving light weight material; frequently lifting or moving average weight material; rarely lifting or moving heavy weight material.
