Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Receive inwards goods on a FIFO basis and ensure SOPs for processing of inwards goods are adhered to.
  • Ensure accurate and on time delivery of components and production kits in accordance with production & transfer order plans / priorities.

SUPPLY CHAIN

Rocket Lab’s Supply Chain team is responsible for the flow of all materials, products, and components through the business. With many of our own products functioning as critical components to our own and our customers’ missions, the Supply Chain team has a direct impact on the success of our rocket and satellite programs. They set up assembly kits that enable our technicians to build our optical payloads, manage inventory, look after shipping and receiving, and inspect and ensure that all of our materials and products are compliant and up to standard. They are the chain that links our teams together and are critical to our success.

INVENTORY COORDINATOR II

Based onsite at Rocket Lab Optical Systems located in Chantilly, VA, the Inventory Coordinator is tasked with all aspects of inventory management from receiving, putting into inventory, counting, and kitting, inwards and outwards goods. Inventory that needs to be received, stored, and kitted for production maintaining inventory accuracy through adherence to process, and customer satisfaction of just-in-time fulfillment makes an Inventory Coordinator a critical role in the "last mile" of our supply chain.

WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO

  • Receive inwards goods on a FIFO basis and ensure SOP’s for processing of inwards goods are adhered to

YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma and 1+ year of experience
  • Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems
  • U.S. citizenship is required, due to program requirements.

THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVELike:

  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, or other heavy manufacturing
  • Experience with control and tracking of serial, and lot controlled materials.
  • Experience with ERP Systems
  • Prior experience in high-paced, rapid growth environment
  • Team oriented, strong ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment and to multiple deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and efficiently

This position may require prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, computer work, and occasional exposure to moderate levels of noise, dust, and fumes in production areas.

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state of Virginia’s pay transparency requirements. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Base salary is only one part of Rocket Lab’s compensation package for this role. You may be eligible for company stock, or cash incentives, andcan purchase discounted stock through Rocket Lab’s Employee Stock Purchase Program. Employee benefits also include medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage; 401(k) retirement plan options; paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave; paid parental leave; and other discounts and perks.

Base Pay Range (VA Only)

$21.54 - $26.92 USD
