Job: Logistics Coordinator

Shift: Days

Location: Mar Petcare (Fort Smith, AR)

Mars Petcare is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our pet food business at a Fort Smith, AR manufacturing plant. We focus on the needs of cats and dogs, delivering precise nutrition to help them thrive.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain replenishment orders for factory materials
• Schedule inbound loads
• Complete Goods Receipt processes
• Coordinate with commercial inbound on supply issues and replenishment
• Review production demand and advise on changes
• Resolve short supply situations and manage inventory holds
• Conduct cycle counts of raw ingredients
• Work within Nexus to manage commodity issues and create necessary documentation
• Manage inventory safety stocks and correct transaction errors
• Coordinate resolution of inventory discrepancies with vendors and carriers
• Serve as resource for Bill of Lading/PO and SAP/Red Prairie systems
• Maintain control of blocked and aged inventory levels
• Ensure quality and food safety compliance

Education:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Knowledge & Experience:

• Experience with SAP/Red Prairie and inventory systems
• Understanding of financial compliance, supply chain management, and food safety
• Proficiency with FIFO/FEFO procedures and food manufacturing practices

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods
• Computer and data entry skills
