Job summary

PSI Molded Plastics Indiana is hiring an Inventory Coordinator in Marion, SC. You will maintain inventory in production areas, use IQMS for records, and coordinate materials for shift changeovers to prevent downtime.

Qualified candidates have strong attention to detail, are punctual, and can work independently or with a team. Prior IQMS experience and manufacturing exposure are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience working in injection molding or manufacturing preferred.
• IQMS or similar inventory management system preferred.
• Knowledge of computers and scanning equipment preferred.
• Must be punctual and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records in production areas.
• Update IQMS work orders and ensure accuracy at end of runs.
• Collaborate with shift leads on end-of-shift reporting.
• Perform cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Report, reconcile, and research discrepancies.
• Verify SKU, description, and label accuracy in system.
• Identify variance causes and adjust inventory as needed.
• Coordinate material requirements for upcoming shifts and stage materials.
• Ensure materials staged match schedules; flag shortages.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Support timely shift changeovers and uninterrupted production.

The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and updating inventory in production areas, engaging all levels of employees to maintain accurate inventories, and following through and updating management on discrepancies. The Inventory Coordinator is also responsible for making labels, weighing materials or parts, and using scanners. This position also coordinates and stages required production materials for oncoming shifts to support timely shift changeovers and uninterrupted production.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. 1.Maintain accurate inventory records using IQMS.
2. 2.Ensure IQMS work order accuracy at the end of production runs.
3. 3.Collaborate with shift leads on end-of-shift reporting.
4. 4.Complete cycle counts.
5. 5.Perform physical inventory checks.
6. 6.Report, reconcile, and research inventory discrepancies.
7. 7.Verify system SKU, description, location, and label accuracy.
8. 8.Determine the probable cause of any variance and make inventory adjustments.
9. 9.Coordinate with shift leads and production personnel to identify material requirements for oncoming shifts and stage the correct materials at designated locations before shift changeover.
10. 10.Verify staged materials against production schedules and work orders, including material type, quantity, labeling, and location; promptly communicate shortages or discrepancies to the appropriate shift lead or management.
11. 11.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Qualifications:

Education and experience required for the role.
