Role Description

The Inventory Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Lexington, KY, responsible for managing inventory related to petroleum construction projects and equipment. The role includes monitoring stock levels of materials, tools, and parts; receiving and inspecting deliveries; and organizing storage areas to support field crews and office operations. Day-to-day responsibilities involve recording inventory transactions, reconciling counts with system records, preparing items for shipping to job sites, and coordinating with project managers to ensure materials are available when needed. The Inventory Coordinator also helps maintain accurate documentation, follows company safety and compliance procedures, and supports continuous improvement of inventory processes.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Inventory Accuracy and Inventory Control to ensure reliable stock records and minimize discrepancies.
• Experience performing Physical Inventory counts and reconciliations on a regular schedule.
• Knowledge of Shipping & Receiving processes, including checking deliveries, preparing shipments, and handling documentation.
• Ability to manage Inventory Management tasks such as tracking usage, reordering materials, and organizing storage areas.
• Basic proficiency with inventory or ERP software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with field crews, project managers, and vendors.
• High school diploma or equivalent; experience in construction, petroleum services, or warehouse environments is beneficial.
