Job summary

Chesapeake Regional Healthcare is seeking an Inventory Coordinator to manage Storeroom and PAR inventory, ensuring timely capture, replenishment, and accuracy across locations. You will work closely with the Materials Manager to review usage, adjustments, and MMIS transactions.

Candidates should have a high school diploma (Associates preferred) and 4+ years in materials management, with Excel proficiency. This on-site role emphasizes meticulous recordkeeping, cycle counts, and regulatory storage

Qualifications

  • Experience in inventory management and analysis of stock levels.
  • Proficient with MMIS and Excel for reporting and reconciliation.
  • Educational background includes HS diploma; Associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and put away supplies in the Storeroom.
  • Review inventory levels by analyzing usage and reorder information for inventory stocked supplies.
  • Research discrepancies on pick tickets and adjust inventory counts including documenting inventory credits for PAR locations.
  • Review the suggested reorder information daily and adjust as necessary.
  • Assist with annual inventory and cycle counts as scheduled.
  • Work closely with Materials Manager to determine inventory needs for the Storeroom and PAR inventory locations.
  • Review expiration dates on a weekly rotation.
  • Ensure proper storage of supplies as established by regulatory agencies' or organizations' standards.
  • Assist in the storeroom and receiving as needed.
  • Direct Supply tech duties and assignments at the discretion and direction of the Materials Manager particularly in his/her absence.
  • Efficiently utilize the Materials Management Information System (MMIS).
  • Attend required hospital-wide orientations, meetings, and in-services.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to flexible work scheduling when necessary to ensure patient care.

Job description

Summary

The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the capture and replenishment of Storeroom stocked supplies for both PAR and non-PAR inventory locations throughout Chesapeake Regional Health (CRH) and its entities.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Reporting Relationships

Reports to: Materials Manager

Supervises: None

Responsibilities: Perform inventory management and analysis of assigned inventory locations.

Education

Minimum Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Education: Associates degree in related field

Experience

Four plus (4+) years Materials Management experience is required. Prior inventory management, receiving, or logistics experience is preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office particularly Microsoft Excel for reporting analysis. Must be able to efficiently operate the MMIS.
