Tempur Sealy is seeking an Inventory Control professional to manage and optimize inventory levels across assembly plants, ensuring demand is met while minimizing carrying costs. You will work with area Supervisors and CI Team on value stream mapping and layout.

The role requires hands-on experience with ERP systems, cycle counts, and vendor invoice reconciliations, plus strong proficiency in Microsoft Office. On-site in Brenham, TX with daily responsibilities in production support.

Formación

• Experience with inventory management.
• Bedding/furniture industry experience preferred.
• Prior employment in inventory warehousing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software programs.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and control inventory levels to meet demand and reduce carrying costs.
• Maintain log sheets for inventory bin locations and perform daily cycle counts in ERP.
• Distribute daily scrap and substitution reports.
• Maintain a logbook of changes, shortages, excess, and obsolescence of inventory items.
• Maintain metrics on inventory for senior management reporting.
• Know component items used in production and daily usage for on-floor placement.
• Maintain min/max levels in ERP for suggested orders.
• Collaborate with area Supervisors and CI Team on Value Stream Mapping and inventory layout.
• Identify root causes and establish best practice standards for issues and discrepancies.
• Perform Vendor PO verification to match actuals and enter manual items if needed.
• Support Vendor Invoice Reconciliations and communicate PO discrepancies with vendors.

What You'll Do (Essential Duties and Responsibilities):

• Manage and control the levels of inventory in the assembly plants, reducing the cost to carry inventory and meet the demand requirements.

• Maintain log sheets for inventory bin locations and perform daily cycle counts of inventory items and adjust in ERP System if necessary.

• Distribute daily scrap and substitution reports.

• Maintain a logbook surrounding any changes, problems, shortages, excess, and obsolescence of any inventory item.

• Maintain metrics regarding inventory for presenting to Senior Management the gains or losses of inventory asset costs.

• Know the component items used in mattress/foundation production and the degree of daily usage to be able to strategically locate on the shop floor for easy access during production.

• Maintain min/max levels in ERP System based on historical usage and peak season factors for system generated suggested orders.

• Work with area Supervisors and CI Team on Value Stream Mapping and Inventory Layout and adherence.

• Root cause and determine best practice standards on any issues and discrepancies.

• Perform Vendor PO verification to actuals including manual entry of items not having scanning capability.

• Support Vendor Invoice Reconciliations and conduct Direct Vendor communication with PO discrepancies, shipments and updates.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
