Job summary

Azuria Water Solutions is seeking an Inventory Coordinator to support the Batesville manufacturing site. You will own part number creation from start to finish, ensure correct costing, BOM, and labor routing, and manage physical inventory and site layout daily.

You will back up the Material Control Clerk and coordinate with production control, Finance, and other plant departments to optimize material flow and transaction accuracy.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • 3+ years of inventory/material transactions or manufacturing processes.
  • Broad understanding of production and material flow.
  • Experience with multiple units of measure and conversions between UOMs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (JDE, SAP, Oracle).
  • Extremely detail oriented with emphasis on accuracy in data entry.

Responsibilities

  • Own all aspects of part number setup (raw material, experimental material, dry tube).
  • Manage PN process from setup to maintenance; implement process improvements.
  • Maintain part attributes and identify duplicates or errors.
  • Create and manage work-orders for various inventories; ensure active orders only.
  • Physically manage inventory in plant and off-site warehouses; maintain layout and organization.
  • Serve as main backup for Material Control Clerk (vacations/weekends).
  • Coordinate with production control; create roll counts and improve material tracking.
  • Research discrepancies in JDE; identify root causes and financial implications with Finance.
  • Identify opportunities for process/accuracy improvements and drive solutions.
  • Participate in quarterly Physical Inventory.
  • Handle other material and inventory transaction duties.
  • Cross-train on other material roles as a backup.

Job description

The Inventory Coordinator will report to the Director of Inventory and Material Management and will be an integral part of our Supply Chain Team working daily with our Manufacturing and Finance Teams. In this position, the Inventory Coordinator will support the Batesville manufacturing site and be responsible for new part number creation, owning the process from start to finish, including ensuring parts are created correctly with correct costing, bill of material, and labor routing. This position will own physical organization and layout of the plant/warehouses as well as a backup to multiple members of our team including the Material Control Clerk backing up all transactions for the plant. As part of the Batesville Plant, the Inventory Coordinator will work closely with the various departments within the Batesville Plant.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all aspects of part number setup. Including: raw material, experimental material, and dry tube.

  • Responsible for entire PN process from setup through to PN maintenance. As well as implementing process improvements to include tracking setups and streamlining the process for notifications, part creation, and freezing of the part.

  • Responsible for part number maintenance, including updating part attributes, active vs inactive SKUs, looking for duplicate part numbers and errors.

  • Create work-orders for felting, coating, off-line, and Batesville stock tube inventory. Managing work orders to ensure only active work orders are open and able to have material and labor charged against them.

  • Physical management of inventory in plant and off-site warehouse to include layout and organization, daily rigor to maintain organization, scrap, waste, and partial roll management.

  • Act as the main backup for Material Control Clerk including vacation and weekend coverage.

  • Coordinate with and backup production control as necessary including creation of roll counts using roll calculator. Implement processes and/or tools to improve tracking of material needs.

  • Research discrepancies in JDE looking at historical transactions to determine root cause of errors and identifying correcting transaction(s) needed while working closely with Finance team to understand the financial impact of the transactions.

  • Identify opportunities for process/accuracy improvement and work to drive solutions.

  • Participate in quarterly Physical Inventory.

  • Various other responsibilities related to material and inventory transactions.

  • Cross train on other material roles to act as a backup for team members.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.

  • Broad understanding of production and material flow through manufacturing with ability to interpret transactions in inventory systems and translate to physical movements.

  • Experience working with multiple units of measure and comfortable with conversions between UOMs.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience with using various ERP/MRP systems (JDE, SAP, Oracle, etc.).

  • Extremely detail oriented with emphasis on accuracy and efficiency in data entry.

  • Experienced in various computer software programs and ability to quickly learn new programs.

  • Experience in fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to work between 2 shifts and weekends as needed.
