Zusammenfassung

SLB seeks an Inventory Control Operator (Night Shift) in Odessa, TX to maintain ERP-based inventory records for ESP equipment, coordinate replenishment, and ensure accuracy across warehouses and service centers. This role requires forklift ability, attention to detail, and strong teamwork.

You will collaborate with procurement, support audits, and drive improvements in inventory processes while adhering to safety policies in a 7pm–7am schedule.

Qualifikationen

  • 1 year of experience in inventory control, warehouse, materials management, or supply chain.
  • Ability to drive a forklift.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask through multiple computer programs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; SAP experience is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Motivated with a positive attitude and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Problem-solving skills for shipping and inventory issues.
  • Team-oriented approach collaborating across departments.

Aufgaben

  • Maintain accurate inventory records for ESP equipment including pumps, motors, protectors, and cables.
  • Perform daily inventory transactions: receipts, issues, transfers, adjustments and returns in ERP.
  • Conduct cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and transaction errors.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment to prevent stockouts.
  • Verify material availability to support schedules.
  • Coordinate inbound/outbound material movements between warehouses and service centers.
  • Track serialized equipment and maintain asset traceability.
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and preservation of ESP components.
  • Collaborate with procurement and supply chain on material requirements and optimization.
  • Prepare inventory reports, performance metrics, and status updates for management.
  • Support year-end inventory accounts and audits.
  • Maintain compliance with policies, quality systems, and HSE requirements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for inventory accuracy and efficiency.

What You Will Do:
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for ESP equipment, including pumps, motors, protectors, variable speed drives, and cable

  • Perform daily inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, transfers, adjustments, and returns in the ERP system

  • Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with company policies

  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, variances, and transaction errors

  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment activities to prevent stockouts and excess inventory

  • Verify material availability to support manufacturing, assembly, repair, field service, and customer delivery schedules

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound material movements between warehouses, repair facilities, service centers, and field locations

  • Track serialized equipment and maintain asset traceability throughout the inventory lifecycle

  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and preservation of ESP components to prevent damage and maintain quality standards

  • Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams regarding material requirements, shortages, and inventory optimization opportunities

  • Prepare inventory reports, performance metrics, and status updates for management

  • Support year-end inventory accounts and financial audits

  • Maintain compliance with company policies, quality management systems, and HSE requirements

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and operational efficiency

Position Details:
  • 11 days on/3 days off, every other weekend

  • 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 1 year of experience in inventory control, warehouse, materials management, or supply chain

  • Ability to drive a forklift

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Ability to prioritize and multitask through multiple computer programs

  • Strong proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications; experience with SAP is a plus

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Highly motivated with a positive attitude and commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence

  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve shipping and inventory issues

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with colleagues across departments to achieve shared goals

  • Follow all safety policies and company-wide safety requirements; encourage action assuring safe behavior; confront unsafe behavior and conditions proactively and positively
