Essential Functions: The Inventory Controller is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring timely order fulfillment. The Inventory Controller will be identifying trends in inventory usage and collaborating with purchasing and logistics teams to forecast demand and prevent stock imbalances. The Inventory Controller also develops and enforces inventory control procedures, manages stock replenishment, and ensures compliance with safety and quality standards. Additionally, Inventory Controller involves analyzing inventory data, reporting on stock levels, and optimizing storage to reduce costs and maximize space.

Responsibilities/Skills/Abilities
  • Utilizes independent judgment to scrutinize ordering patterns and inventory levels, asking the tough questions to optimize stock levels and prevent shortages or overstock situations.
  • Has authority to make decisions on integrating newly acquired knowledge into our inventory management practices, enriching our collective understanding and enhancing decisionmaking capabilities.
  • Dive deep into the intricacies of our inventory systems, constantly questioning and probing to uncover discrepancies and inefficiencies.
  • Absorb and retain a wealth of information about our inventory processes, products, and suppliers to facilitate informed decisionmaking.
  • Analyze inventory data with a sharp eye, identifying patterns, trends, and anomalies that could impact production schedules or resource allocation.
  • Challenge the status quo and seek out opportunities to streamline inventory processes, constantly striving for greater efficiency and accuracy.
  • Foster open communication channels with crossfunctional teams, encouraging dialogue and feedback to drive continuous improvement efforts.

Work Experience Requirements
  • 35 years of experience in inventory management, supply chain operations, or logistics.
  • Previous experience with inventory control software, warehouse management systems (WMS), and forecasting is essential.
  • Strong background in managing stock levels, performing audits, and optimizing inventory processes.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting to identify trends and improve inventory accuracy.
Education/Knowledge Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in inventory management, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate crossfunctionally.

Physical Requirements
  • Work involves sitting most of the workday greater than 50% of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.
  • Typing and applying pressure with the fingers and palm required.
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
Work environment/Hours
  • The work environment: temperature, noise level, inside or outside, or other factors that will affect the person's working conditions while performing the job.
  • Fulltime, Office hours are typically 8:305:00pm, MondayFriday with occasional overtime.

Travel-percentage of travel time expected for the position, where the travel occurs, such as locally or in specific countries or states, and whether the travel is overnight.
