Job summary

Murray City is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to manage and document stock in the Power Department warehouse and yard. You will handle issuing, receiving, and accountability of materials, following strict inventory procedures.

The role requires forklift operation, basic computer terminal use, and at least a high school diploma with one year of warehousing experience. Applicants must have a Utah driver’s license and be able to obtain OSHA forklift certification within four months of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1 year warehousing or related experience.
• Forklift operation experience required.

Responsibilities

• Issues supplies to City employees and records stock movements.
• Receives and inspects delivered materials against purchase orders.
• Maintains warehouse and inventory yard layout for efficient storage.
• Counts inventory on a weekly basis and assists with annual physical counts.
• Operates forklifts and other vehicles to move materials as needed.
• Provides materials delivery to field sites on radio dispatch.
