Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Associate to manage inventory and movement across two Arizona warehouses (Tempe and Tucson). You will perform weekly reconciliations, spot checks, and monthly safety audits to ensure accuracy and safety.

The role includes processing returns, tracking shipments, and coordinating with management, technicians, and vendors to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Inventory control experience (1+ years).
• Strong organizational skills.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• MS Office proficiency.
• Ability to work independently.
• Able to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Experience with Fire Alarm and Sprinkler parts.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Accurately manage inventory and inventory movement.
• Work weekly report to demonstrate activity to reconcile negatives.
• Spot check inventory accuracy for all levels of service department employees.
• Inventory adjustments managed and maintained on a weekly cycle.
• Implement circuit board and electronic parts return program.
• Communicate tracking information of parts that are shipped.
• Inventory control by following the process identified, keeping records for each project customer.
• Manage warehouse, accurately control inventory and provide organizational skills.
• Timely and accurately receive parts to provide excellent customer service.
• Conduct monthly safety audits to ensure warehouse is safe and secure.
• Work weekend annual inventory with potential extra weekend work.
• Verify and order material, track and monitor orders with updates.
• Process warranty returns.
• Climb ladders and move large parts and pallets.
• Travel between Tempe and Tucson warehouses.
• Communicate with management, technicians and vendors about material orders.
• Other duties as assigned
