RealCold in New Jersey is seeking an Inventory Control Team Lead for a cold storage facility. You will work with the Inventory Control & Office Manager to plan daily floor operations, interface with customers via operations email, and enter new receivers into the WMS, ensuring inventory accuracy.

You will lead inventory staff, manage item master, and coordinate with order processors. This hourly non-exempt role offers comprehensive benefits and growth in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of related warehouse experience required.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and production management.
• Forklift certification preferred; ability to obtain after hire.

Role Overview:

As the Inventory Control Team Lead, you are part of a team that will supporting a cold storage facility. The incumbent will work hand in hand with the Inventory Control & Office Manager who will plan and oversee the daily floor operations of the organization to ensure goals and objectives are achieved, while your focus will be on interfacing with the customer via operations email, entering new receivers into the warehouse management system (WMS), coordinating responses for inventory accuracy and processing administrative paperwork for outbound orders and inbound appointments. The incumbent must interface well with other team members to create a positive work environment and healthy team culture. This role is hourly non-exempt.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:

• Assists with hiring and training Inventory Control personnel.
• Oversee the job assignments and activities of Inventory Control staff.
• Collaborates with the inventory manager to provide timely and constructive performance evaluations.
• Executes daily inventory analysis; identifies and resolves discrepancies and problems.
• Oversee the stock item master, identifying incorrect descriptions and stock numbers.
• Locates items that may have incorrect locations or stock numbers to assist order processors.
• Communicate with the warehouse and customers as needed regarding new items, changes of location, counts, etc.
• Responsible for Customer Order Processing & Billing through the system in conjunction with RealCold billing team.
• Operate warehouse material handling equipment to count inventory products while following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
• Assist the Inventory Control & Office Manager when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements of the Position:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years of related experience required.
• Extensive knowledge of operations and production management in a warehouse setting.
• Proficient in operating warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, high reach, and cherry pickers.
• Forklift Certification preferred with the ability to attain one upon hire.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must read, write, and understand English.
• Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience preferred.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently

• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must be flexible and be able to work overtime.
• Must be willing to work weekends and evenings.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Dress code is relaxed with a few rules to follow for safety; comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required.

Physical Work Environment:

This job will involve occasional exposure to some disagreeable elements such as cold temperatures, loud noises, and dust and dirt. The work performed will be repetitive in nature.
