Job summary

Crane is seeking a Warehouse Inventory Control Specialist in McCook, IL to manage inventory needs, coordinate audits, and drive accuracy in shipping and receiving. The role runs Fri-Sun, 5am-5:30pm, on-site, with a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related work experience in logistics or inventory control.
• 2+ years supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates inventory needs and implements strategies to meet those needs.
• Establishes and publishes weekly inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules.
• Coordinates schedules with Warehouse Supervisors daily to allocate resources.
• Provides daily reports of inventory count and audit results.
• Oversees spot audit processes including unloading, receiving, and shipping, and documents results.
• Identifies trends requiring corrective action with supervisors.
• Reads and responds to emails promptly.
• Other duties as assigned.

Description

Shift Schedule: Fri - Sun, 5am - 5:30pm

Essential Job Functions

• Evaluates inventory needs and implements strategies to meet those needs
• Establishes and publishes weekly inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules.
• Communicates and coordinates inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules with Warehouse Supervisors daily so that supervisors can assign necessary product, equipment, and human resources needed to complete schedule.
• Provides daily written and electronic copies of analysis and statistics of inventory count and quality audits results.
• Spot audit unloading, receiving, checking, locating, packing, and shipping personnel for all accounts and documents the results in an Excel spreadsheet.
• Interacts with supervisors to help identify trends, processes, or people that require corrective action.
• Read and respond to all emails in a timely fashion.
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Stand or sit for long periods of time
• Reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch and frequently required to climb or balance
• Regularly lift and/or move 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds by hand

Education & Experience

• Previous contracts logistics experience in inventory control preferred
• Previous supervisory and WMS experience strongly preferred
• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 3 or more years of related work experience.
• 2 years supervisory experience strongly preferred
• 3 or more years of industry-related experience preferred.

Certifications and Licenses

• Professional certification may be required in some areas.

Illinois required disclosure: Salary range for this position is between USD $76,000 - $78,000 annually
