Job summary

Westlake seeks a Supervisor – Inventory Control to lead inventory management, receiving, production planning and scheduling, and Product Data Management for Marion, Bristol, and Westfield operations. The role ensures accuracy, efficient planning, and strong workflow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, at least six years of inventory management experience in manufacturing, and proficiency in JD Edwards and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum six years of direct inventory management and planning experience in manufacturing.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to lead through influence across departments.
• Experience with ERP systems (JD Edwards) and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Supervise inventory control clerks, supply room personnel, and return goods coordinators.
• Develop and implement inventory control procedures to improve workflow, accuracy, performance, and compliance.
• Lead multi-site inventory management for raw materials, finished goods, and consignment locations.
• Oversee cycle counting, month-end and year-end inventory processes.
• Support production scheduling and line configuration to maximize throughput and meet requirements.
• Develop annual SKU forecasts and manage data in JD Edwards.
• Maintain Product Data Management processes and catalog items across plants.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve inventory and scheduling issues.
• Provide coaching to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
