Job summary

Bakerly is seeking an Inventory Control Supervisor for the Easton, PA facility to lead and govern inventory activities across raw materials, packaging, and finished goods. You will drive accuracy, traceability, and compliance while partnering with Planning, Purchasing, Production, and Quality to support continuity and governance.

You will manage cycle counts, reconciliations, and ERP integrity, establishing policies and standard work to ensure physical inventory aligns with system records.

Job Description

The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for leading and governing all inventory control activities across the Easton facility, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, traceability, and compliance of raw materials, packaging, semi-finished goods, and finished goods inventory while serving as the single point of accountability for inventory accuracy and governance. This role oversees inventory transactions, cycle counts, reconciliations, lot traceability, inventory adjustments, ERP inventory integrity, and the Inventory Control team, establishing the processes, controls, and discipline needed to maintain alignment between physical inventory and system records. Partnering closely with Supply Planning, Purchasing, Production, Warehouse Operations, Logistics, Quality, and Finance, this position supports production continuity, inventory availability, traceability compliance, and the One Supply operating model through centralized inventory ownership, clear accountability, and strong inventory governance.

Responsibilities
Inventory Leadership & Management
  • Lead and develop the Inventory Control team, including Ingredients, Materials, and Finished Goods
  • Establish priorities, assign workload, and ensure execution of inventory control activities
  • Provide coaching, training, performance management, and continuous development
  • Foster a culture of accountability, process discipline, and continuous improvement
Inventory Control & Governance
  • Own inventory accuracy, traceability, and inventory control processes across the facility
  • Establish and maintain inventory control policies, procedures, and standards
  • Ensure compliance with FIFO, FEFO, lot traceability, and inventory management requirements
  • Lead inventory-related continuous improvement initiatives
  • Own the site cycle count program and annual physical inventory process
  • Ensure cycle counts are executed according to established schedules and procedures
  • Review count results, investigate variances, and validate corrective actions
  • Monitor compliance with cycle count requirements and inventory control standards

  • Establish clear ownership and accountability for inventory control activities across ingredients, materials, and finished goods.
  • Develop and maintain inventory governance processes that support the One Supply operating model.
Inventory Accuracy & Reconciliation
  • Own inventory accuracy across all inventory categories
  • Oversee cycle counts, physical inventories, reconciliations, and inventory adjustments
  • Investigate significant discrepancies and implement corrective actions
  • Drive root cause analysis for recurring inventory issues
  • Ensure inventory transactions are accurate, timely, and properly documented
  • Monitor ERP inventory integrity and enforce transaction discipline
  • Audit inventory transactions and identify opportunities to improve controls
  • Review and approve inventory adjustments in accordance with established controls and authorization levels.
  • Monitor inventory-related losses, write-offs, and adjustment trends and implement corrective actions to reduce financial impact
  • Partner with Finance to ensure inventory transactions and inventory balances accurately reflect operational activity
Traceability & Compliance
  • Ensure complete lot traceability across ingredients, materials, work-in-process, and finished goods
  • Support internal, customer, regulatory, and food safety audits
  • Ensure inventory practices comply with SQF, FDA, customer, and company requirements
  • Lead inventory-related investigations during recalls, mock recalls, or traceability exercises
  • Partner with Supply Planning, Purchasing, Production, Warehouse Operations, Logistics, Quality, and Finance to support inventory accuracy and material availability
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • This role supervises the Inventory Team of 3 direct reports including 1 lead and 2 controllers.

In addition to the specific duties outlined, you may be required to perform other tasks and responsibilities as deemed necessary by your manager. These tasks will be relevant to your role and within the scope of your area of expertise.

Requirements
Education:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Business, or related field preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, materials management, or supply chain
  • 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of GMP, SQF, FDA, and inventory compliance requirements
Skills
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control principles, cycle counting, reconciliation, lot traceability, and inventory transactions
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills
  • Proficiency working with ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory reporting tools
  • Experience in food manufacturing, consumer packaged goods, or other regulated environments preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence change, and improve operational performance
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand in place for extended periods of time

  • Ability to do required good manufacturing process equipment (Clean provided uniform, hair restraints, beard covers, nitrile gloves, designated plant safety footwear
  • Ability to remove required good manufacturing process equipment upon exiting plant floor.
