Job summary

Mars Incorporated in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking an Inventory Specialist to maintain accurate inventory records, manage cycle counts, and support production with reliable material availability.

You will perform SAP transactions, audit inventory, participate in internal and external audits, and collaborate with Warehouse, Production, Procurement, and QA to improve inventory accuracy.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of inventory control experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Strong hands-on experience using SAP (inventory management, material movements).
• Proven experience with cycle counting and inventory auditing.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Execute daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts; investigate and resolve variances.
• Perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure inventory movements are properly executed and documented in SAP.
• Support internal and external inventory audits and SOX compliance (if applicable).
• Collaborate with Warehouse, Production, Procurement, and QA teams to ensure material availability and process improvements.
