Job summary

Testa Produce, Inc. in Chicago is seeking an Inventory Clerk to organize and perform daily physical inventory counts, monitor product quality, and advise buyers and warehouse managers of deviations.

The role includes slotting new products and collaborating with buyers to resolve quantity and usage issues, while maintaining the inventory system. You will generate inventory reports, operate a cherry picker to access higher counts, and participate in periodic audits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of recent experience in a produce distribution, processing center, or food manufacturing/distribution operation.
• Proficient with Inventory Management Software and Microsoft Office (Excel) and common email systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily physical inventory counts and organize stock
• Monitor product quality and advise buyers and AM warehouse managers of deviations
• Slot new products and advise locations
• Collaborate with buyers on quantity, quality, and usage issues
• Provide inventory reports to buyers, AM warehouse managers, and inventory control
• Operate a cherry picker to access higher counts
• Manage and maintain the inventory system
• Conduct spot and partial audits of physical inventory
• Assist with annual physical inventory audits
