Job summary

The Bloomington, IN-based SpartanNash facility is seeking an Inventory Control associate to support counting, dating standards, and slotting optimization. You will work in a fast-paced distribution center from 4:00am to 12:00pm, Monday through Friday, earning $17.50 per hour with DOE considerations.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Buying, Accounting, Shipping, Receiving, and vendors; preparing inventory reports in the WMS; and ensuring accuracy through audits and proper disposition of

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior warehouse/distribution experience preferred.
• Good math, data entry, and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Basic computer skills; willingness to learn other systems.
• Must be able to work weekends/holidays/overtime.

Responsibilities

• Support inventory counting and system data maintenance.
• Audit outgoing orders and adjust inventory to maintain accuracy.
• Coordinate with Buying, Accounting, Shipping, Receiving, and carriers.
• Prepare reports using WMS to identify shortages.
• Assist in slotting and warehouse layout to improve efficiency.
• Handle short-dated, aged, damaged, and salvage inventory.
• Communicate issues to supervisors promptly.
