Inventory Control Specialist – Tuffy’s Pet Foods

Hours: 10pm-6am (Sunday night through Friday morning)

Benefits

  • Base Pay: $22.08/hr
  • Year 1 Bonus: $1.22/hr
  • 10% Shift Differential for Night Shift: $2.21/hr
  • Profit Sharing Eligibility: Begins after completing 1 year of employment (prior year profit sharing equated to an extra $5.68/hr for employees)

What We Are Looking For

We’re hiring an Inventory Control Specialist to oversee all aspects of inventory and reporting accurately and promptly. If you have a passion for pets and this role matches your skill set, this might be the perfect opportunity for you!

Essential Duties:

  • Ensure accuracy of new item BoMs and substituted items, e.g., Rework
  • Control scheduled packaging for production needs, including but not limited to:
    • Ensure packaging and related items are on site – on time.
    • Communicate packaging shortage issues in advance of scheduled production.
    • Return packaging to storage areas safely and accurately (pallets covered and wrapped, lots verified and labeled).
    • Coordinate and unload shuttles from East 2 Warehouse as needed.
  • Oversee organization of East 2 Warehouse and FIFO of all ingredients/packaging
  • Assist in controlling traceability of all ingredients/packaging
  • Reconcile all locations including but not limited to DPK, BFSMPL, FGBIN, REWORK, shuttles, rack locations, warehouse rows, bulk tanks, and mill bins.
  • Ensure accuracy of customer tags and adjust inventories accordingly.
  • Assist in re-training production employees when errors are identified.
  • Manage raw materials, packaging, and finished goods on hold and release as needed.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of issues to prevent reoccurrence.

  • Ability to operate a forklift and pass certification
  • Good communication and written skills

Hours: 10pm-6am (Sunday night through Friday morning). Scheduled to work 40 hours per week.
