Position Summary: The Inventory Control Specialist supports inventory processes, solutions, and strategies for the continuous improvement of inventory accuracy and order fulfillment quality; including cycle counts, data entry, tracking, reconciling, documenting, and reporting. Investigates and resolve inventory inaccuracies and provide root cause analysis and recommendations for corrective actions. Works with the Inventory Manager and Peers to brainstorm ways to reduce inventory discrepancy and possible theft or “shrink.” Compile inventory information and present it to management for effective decision-making.

Requirements:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform forward and reverse Empty Bins daily.
  • Perform Audits of moves and put away.
  • Disposition returns to stock items, including cycle count and research if needed.
  • Maintain count accuracy (digital and physical counting)
  • Follows all existing company policies and procedures.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of their work area.
  • Works well with others.
  • Uses computerized inventory software to record, track, and maintain all inventory-related data.
  • Inventory Specialist skills are needed.

Education and/or Experience and Other Skills and Abilities:

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Cherry Picker and Reach Truck experience required.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent math and counting skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Work experience in inventory control or related field is strongly .
