Job summary

Homeland Stores in Ponca City, OK is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk to join our part-time team. You will receive/check-in merchandise, verify invoices, and help keep the backroom organized and safe.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, basic math, and strong attention to detail. You may operate pallet jack and forklift and collaborate with store staff and vendors to ensure accurate stock and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Basic mathematical ability (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Ability to read and write English; read labels, instructions and forms.
• Stable work and educational history.
• Ability to give/receive complex verbal instructions to supervisors/co-workers/vendors about store policy and equipment.
• Make judgments concerning vendor interaction.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the backroom for receipt of merchandise.
• Count and inspect merchandise and match to invoice.
• Prepare a cleaning list each Monday for DSD vendors.
• Check code dating on all case items in each cooler/freezer.
• Prepare a list of out of stocks for DSD daily.
• Contact DSD vendors with problems on all DSD items.
• Keep receiving area secure and damage-reclaim area neat and organized.
• Operate baler, case cutter, pallet jack and forklift; (must be 18+ for pallet jack, forklift and baler).
• Perform miscellaneous tasks assigned by supervisors and managers.
