Job summary

Alfa Laval's Richmond manufacturing facility is hiring a 1st shift Warehouse Worker - Inventory Control. You will receive daily work assignments, perform cycle counts, audits, and verify pre-production readiness to ensure accurate inventory records.

The role requires hands-on verification and adherence to SOPs. You will use D365 ERP, operate forklifts and order pickers, report discrepancies, and collaborate with Material Handling and Production.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant experience.
• 2+ years in inventory control, warehousing, or manufacturing.
• Experience with cycle counting, inventory transactions, and material handling.
• ERP experience, preferably Microsoft D365, is preferred.
• Basic math and ability to read a tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Receive daily work assignments and complete cycle counting, location auditing, and pre-production verification activities using SOPs.
• Perform cycle counts, recounts, physical verifications, and location audits on time.
• Enter and validate count results, approved adjustments, transfers, and inventory status changes in ERP.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and document findings through system transactions and physical checks.
• Coordinate with Material Handling and Production to resolve discrepancies.
• Conduct pre-production audits to verify part number, quantity, location and identity before release.
• Identify, label, and segregate damaged or nonconforming material per procedures.
• Report deviations during daily Status Board meetings and communicate findings.
• Review processes and suggest practical improvements.
• Operate forklifts and order pickers to complete tasks; uphold safety rules.
