Job summary

Sterling Jewelers Inc. is seeking an Inventory Clerk to support jewelry retail operations. You will count, track, and transfer merchandise, ensuring accuracy of inbound/outbound shipments and maintaining orderly receiving areas.

Responsibilities include reconciling transfer details, updating inventories, and assisting with general office duties while upholding security and loss-prevention standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and checks in inbound parcels, mail, inventory and supplies.
• Inspects accuracy of packing lists and verifies shipments; updates inventories as required.
• Maintains logs and reconciles transfer detail reports for Manager's review.
• Keeps receiving area clean and organized.
• Assists in transferring merchandise to the office, Repair Department and/or sales floor with security and loss-prevention in mind.
• Audits and verifies departmental case counts.
• Follows all security and loss-prevention policies and procedures.
• Controls inventory of general store supplies.
• Assists in preparing outbound shipments using carriers as directed.
• Maintains all inside and outside store areas as directed.
• Assists with general office duties as required.
• Stocks and maintains public restrooms.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Primary Responsibilities

• Contributes to an environment of total customer satisfaction by making the customer's needs the first priority.
• Inspects and checks in inbound parcels, mail, inventory and supplies.
• Inspects the accuracy of packing lists and verifies shipments. Updatesinventories as required.
• Maintains logs and reconciles transfer detail report as required inpreparation for Manager's review.
• Maintains receiving area in a clean and organized manner.
• Assists in the transfer/moving of merchandise to the office, RepairDepartment and/or sales floor in strict compliance with security and lossprevention guidelines. Never leaves merchandise unsecured orunattended.
• Audits and verifies departmental case counts.
• Adheres to all established security and loss prevention policies andprocedures.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Controls the inventory of general store supplies.
