Job summary

MARSHALLTOWN in Kansas City, KS is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist and Scheduler to support our distribution center operations. The role focuses on coordinating freight, performing cycle counts, and maintaining accurate inventory data across multiple warehouse systems.

You will handle item setups in internal software, organize shipping documents, and help ensure safety and efficiency in daily warehousing activities while meeting deadlines and maintaining high attendance.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in inventory control preferred.
• 1–3 years freight scheduling experience preferred.
• 2–4 years warehouse/shipping experience preferred.
• Good oral and written communication and math skills.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Must pass material handler certification if required.

We are seeking an Inventory Control Specialist and Scheduler to support our Kansas City Distribution Center.

Hours: 7am – 3:30pm (ability to work overtime)

Responsibilities:

• Freight scheduling
• Solving inventory discrepancies by conducting thorough inventory investigations
• Cycle counting
• Material Handling (operating various types of PITs)
• Uses various software tools to perform raw cycle counts and location counts to maintain accurate inventory levels to include inventory adjustments
• Organize shipping documents
• Item setups within internal software
• Ensuring all safety aspects of the jobs are being followed by employees
• Other duties and special project work as assigned

QualificationsQualifications:

• 1-3 years inventory control is preferred
• 1-3 years freight scheduling experience is strongly preferred
• 2-4 years warehouse/shipping experience is strongly preferred
• Must have good oral and written communication skills and good math skills
• Good decision-making and problem-solving skills are a must
• Attention to detail while operating safely is a must
• Must have the ability to multitask and work well under pressure
• Basic administrative computer proficiency, to include email is required, could be required to pass administrative/general aptitude test to determine if qualified.
• Must be able to successfully pass the Material Handler Certification to include written exam and in person training.
• Excellent attendance
• Meets harness and SRL (Self Retracting Lifeline) weight capacity limits (130 lbs. - 310 lbs.)
• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs.
