Job summary

OK Tire Store, Inc. seeks an Inventory Control Specialist to maintain accurate inventory and support daily flow in our distribution center. This role blends inventory control, warehouse systems, and hands-on warehouse duties to keep shipments moving.

You'll perform cycle counts, verify shipments, enter data in warehouse systems, and coordinate with purchasing to route deliveries. A high school diploma and basic computer skills are required; prior warehouse experience is preferred, with safety

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous warehouse/inventory control experience preferred.
  • Experience with inventory management or warehouse management software preferred.
  • Proficient with computers including MS Office.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Team-oriented and willing to assist with both administrative and warehouse duties.
  • Valid driver's license with insurable driving record.
  • Able to learn and operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, order pickers).
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inventory cycle counts and identify discrepancies.
  • Verify incoming shipments against packing lists and receive into inventory system.
  • Verify outbound loads for accuracy before shipment.
  • Review work orders to identify picked and unpicked items.
  • Enter and maintain work orders and inventory information in warehouse systems.
  • Ensure staged products match shipping manifests and customer orders.
  • Coordinate paperwork and inventory information with purchasing.
  • Assist with coordinating delivery route sequences.
  • Handle and organize small-package and LTL shipments.
  • Communicate with warehouse staff, drivers, and other departments to resolve issues.
  • Support special projects and other warehouse duties as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.

What You'll Do

As an Inventory Control Specialist, you'll help maintain accurate inventory and support the daily flow of products through our distribution center. This position combines inventory control, warehouse systems, shipment verification, and hands‑on warehouse support.

  • Perform inventory cycle counts and help identify and resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Verify incoming shipments against packing lists and ensure products are accurately received into the inventory system
  • Verify outbound loads for accuracy before shipment
  • Review work orders to identify picked and unpicked items
  • Enter and maintain work orders and inventory information in warehouse systems
  • Ensure staged products accurately match shipping manifests and customer orders
  • Organize work orders and route information for warehouse associates
  • Process packing lists and ensure required documentation is completed accurately and on time
  • Coordinate paperwork and inventory information with the purchasing department
  • Assist with coordinating delivery route sequences
  • Handle and organize small‑package and LTL shipments
  • Communicate with warehouse employees, drivers, purchasing, and other departments to resolve inventory or shipment issues
  • Support special projects and other warehouse assignments as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements
What We’re Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous warehouse, inventory control, receiving, or related experience preferred
  • Experience with inventory management or warehouse management software preferred
  • Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
