Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to maintain accurate inventory, receive inbound materials, release manufacturing orders, and support production scheduling in a fast-paced distribution environment.

The role requires ERP/MRP/WMS experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while driving continuous improvements in inventory performance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
• 2-4 years of inventory control experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, or supply chain environment preferred.
• Experience working with ERP, MRP, WMS, or other inventory management systems.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and reconciliations.
• Receive inbound materials and verify against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Release and manage Manufacturing Orders and monitor material availability.
• Develop forecasts of inventory based on customer demand and shipment speeds.
• Create and process inventory replenishment requests and purchase orders with suppliers.
• Monitor inventory transactions, including transfers, returns, and movements.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, and expirations.
• Generate inventory and operational reports; analyze inventory metrics.
• Support warehouse operations through picking, packing, receiving and verification.
• Utilize ERP and MS Office to maintain records and drive improvements.
