Job summary

McWane in Coshocton, OH is seeking an Inventory/Storeroom Clerk to maintain item and description integrity, perform cycle counts, and resolve inventory discrepancies. You will interact with multiple departments, reconcile receipts, and support storeskeeping activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires attention to detail, basic math, and proficiency with Windows-based software and ERP systems; APICS CPIM certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with experience in receiving, warehousing, or inventory required. A degree in Inventory and Warehouse Management is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of MRO parts and heavy industrial items required.
• Must be capable of performing accurate mathematical calculations and analyzing problems.
• Have good organizational skills and have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer literate; proficient with Microsoft Windows, MS Office programs and applications. Experience in Sage, JD Edwards, Microsoft D365 Dynamics, and/or any ERP system is highly preferred.
• Must be flexible but have a sense of urgency and be willing to take initiative when needed.
• Time and priority management is a must.
• APICS/ASCM CPIM or other Inventory Certifications is a plus but not a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Helps maintain item and description integrity, as well as location and stock level accuracy.
• Performs cycle counts, determines root causes of inventory inaccuracies, and recommends corrective actions.
• Collaborates with various departments to resolve inventory issues.
• Acts as the main focal point for received material.
• Communicates receipt and usage with department heads as needed.
• Maintain storeroom inventory processes.
• Enter and post all raw material and scrap receipts daily.
• Confirms inventory and processes expense material receipts in ERP systems.
• Scans daily receipts for expense material receipt and notifies appropriate employees for pick up.
• Assists with quarantined deliveries.
